If you haven't filled out your survey yet, please do so ASAP! If you didn't get an email about the survey, please reach out to me and I'll get it sorted for you. Please fill it out even if you only pledged for digital items; it won't ask you for your shipping address or anything, this just helps me keep track of everyone.
Now! Timeline updates. You have one more week to fill out the surveys, then they will lock so no changes can be made. After that, it will be time to order everything! We're still on track for fulfillment by June, so hopefully things stay that way! Once we get closer to everything shipping out to you, you will have a last chance to update your address in case you've moved between now and then. The reminder for that will go out shortly before shipping starts.

Surveys are starting to go out! I just sent the first smoke test, which is a limited number of surveys to make sure everything is set up properly. As long as those all come back alright, the rest of the surveys should go out in the next day or two, hopefully.

I cannot thank all of you enough for backing this project. I am blown away by how well it has done. This book has had such a strange path to publication compared to any of my other works, and initially I had planned to run this Kickstarter last September. But going back to college threw me off my feet a little more than I had expected it to, so I decided to delay even though I was wary of how a January/February campaign might do. Then there's the fact it's a contemporary novel, and traditionally fantasy and romance seem to do the best here on Kickstarter. There were just a lot of things that made this campaign super hard to predict!
But y'all Showed Up, blowing past the initial goal and just continuing on. I can't wait to get the book out to you so you can all finally see what Conifer, Cheyenne, Marauder, Valora, and everyone else get up to as they try to survive the end of the world.
So! Here's what happens next. It's gonna be a quiet couple of weeks while I wait for the funds to hit my account. Can't do anything until then! Once the funds hit my account, I'll be sending out the surveys to get everyone's addresses and have you all pay for shipping. Please, please fill these out ASAP when they come! I'll post an update in here to let everyone know when they go out, and please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. The surveys will be coming from Backerkit, not Kickstarter.
It is especially important for you to fill out your survey quickly if you backed a tier that involves your name in the acknowledgments of the book! I have to put a harder deadline on those so that I can get the books to the printer. If you do not reach out in time for the special edition printing, your name will not be included in it but it will still be in the wide release regular version coming out this summer.
Lastly, for now, you will have until 2/18/2025 to claim your rewards by filling out the survey. If you do not claim your rewards within that timeframe, you will not receive them and you will not get a refund. I can't hold onto things forever, but I do have to pay for them before I send them out to you so even if you don't claim the reward, the money has been spent. A year gives you plenty of time to claim your reward, or reach out to me with any issues. Trust me, I WANT to get your rewards to you! But I'm putting this policy into place, as I have before, due to past experiences with people who have come to me up to three years after a Kickstarter still expecting rewards they never claimed. It just isn't realistic, unfortunately.
So yeah! That's all for now. I'll reach out again when it's time for surveys to be sent out, which should be around two weeks! Thank you again to everyone who backed, shared, and supported this project so far.

This one has been a RIDE! In all good ways, of course, but it has certainly surprised me. I'm glad people are so excited for this little book of mine, and I can't wait to send it out to all of you. I'll have lots more to say once the campaign finishes up, but I just wanted to give a preemptive little thank you to everyone who has pledged so far. Y'all are awesome!
